After months of claims and counter claims
reinstated Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has
recalled Ikechukwu Uche for the must-win
AFCON 2015 qualifiers against Republic of
the Congo and South Africa.
The Villareal of Spain striker is called for the
first time in nearly two years after missing
the last World Cup, Brazil 2014 due to a
perceived running battle with Keshi.
Nasarawa United midfielder Tony Edjomari
is being called up for the first time while
home-based defender Solomon Kwambe is
returning to the senior national team.
Also back to the team are Aaron Samuel (who
got one of the goals against Sudan), Hope
Akpan, Sunday Emmanuel and home-boy
Emem Eduok after being invited for the
match against Sudan.
Skipper and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama,
defenders Godfrey Oboabona and Elderson
Echiejile, midfielders Ogenyi Onazi and
Mikel Obi, and forwards Ahmed Musa,
Emmanuel Emenike and Babatunde
Michael are also invited for the double
header.
All the 25 invited players are expected to
report at the Bolton White Apartments, Wuse,
Abuja on Sunday, November 9.
